Moving to Breckenridge is a full sensory experience. Of course, the first thing you see is the gorgeous scenery. There are snowcapped mountain peaks, soaring evergreens, and blue skies for miles. You’ll also feel a brisk chill whip through your hair and bite the tips of your fingers. Living here, you’ll quickly come to appreciate the sound of a peaceful snowfall and the quiet footsteps of a doe and her fawn. Hands down, though, one of the best parts about buying a home in Breckenridge is tasting your way around town. From burgers and fries, to sandwiches, to dessert, Breck has something to satisfy your every craving.

Where to Get a Quick Bite to Eat in Breckenridge
111 Ski Hill Rd
Duggan’s Deli is a local favorite. It’s a little tricky to find, but once you know where it is, you’ll keep going back for their hearty sandwiches. Our favorite is turkey with cheddar, ranch, bacon, lettuce, and tomato on crusty French bread. This sandwich is so popular they named it “The Favorite!” In summer, you can sit outside and eat by the river. During the winter months there are only a few tables inside so you’re better off grabbing your sandwich to go.
Downstairs at Eric’s
111 S Main St
If you’re looking for a place to get a bite and watch the game, Downstairs at Eric’s has you covered. The place has great pizza, burgers, and nachos and big flat screen TVs playing every sports game imaginable. Downstairs at Eric’s gets pretty packed on the weekends, but there are a couple dozen arcade games to keep the kids busy while you wait. We love popping into this eatery for a weekday lunch. The Chicken Philly Lunch Special (only on Tuesdays) is incredible!
209 S Ridge St
We love heading to Aurum for happy hour after work. Every day from 4pm to 6pm you can enjoy half-price appetizers, half-price wines by the glass, $3 beers, and $7 cocktails. Our favorite dishes to snack on are the beef tartar and Korean fried chicken.
500 S Main St
Breckenridge residents and visitors have voted Empire Burger “Best Burger” in Best of Summit every year since 2007. In addition to their killer burgers, Empire also has a good selection of sandwiches, salads, and appetizers on its menu. We love snacking on a basket of their hand cut fries. They come with your choice of sauce; choose from exotic flavors like jalapeno ketchup, Parmesan peppercorn, and about a dozen others. We like dipping them in queso!
500 S Main St.
This family owned and operated bistro and wine bar is an absolute gem. Belle V. boasts an impressive menu of French bites and sips in a super intimate and authentic setting. The crème brûlée is our go-to dessert, but we love switching it up with the ultra-decadent pot de crème from time to time. Tip: Belle V. has a daily happy hour at the bar from 4:30pm to 5:30pm with $5 glasses of wine and delicious small plates.
